TC&S

TC&S is a Service designed to support people who care for a person with a Learning Difficulty at home.
It aims to supplement and complement existing and Statutory Services and works closely with them.

It aims to provide up to 6 hours per fortnight
to families in Bridgend County. Sitters are trained and linked in a way
that ensures that families and Sitters are compatible.
It can also act as an agency to find a personal
assistant who can give a tailor-made service to suit your individual need.

Trinity Care & Support is a company limited by guarantee and receives funding from Bridgend County Borough Council to provide a Support Service to people with a Learning Disability.

TC&S is registered with the CSSIW and is a Registered Charity No. 1126380.

Registered for Adults and Children, we can provide a Domiciliary Support Service which has over 15 years experience in the Learning Difficulty sector.

The scheme is supervised by the Registered Manager who responds to referrals from the Social Services Team. The Registered Manager manages the scheme day by day.

On referral, a home visit will be arranged to gather information relevant to providing a Sitter who is compatible with the assessed needs of the family.

The Service may be used to relieve stress on Carers by sitting with the person with a Learning Disability and spending the time with them constructively.

By arrangement, it may also be possible to provide a Supporter to enable a Service User to be involved in an activity of their choice.

The cost of this activity and any travel is the responsibility of the family.

The service may also be used to improve the quality of time that the Carer spends with the Service User by relieving other family pressures which may be undermining this.

For families with control of their own budget, we can act as an agency for a person-centred service by recruiting, training, insuring and managing the employment of a personal assistant for you.

How can I use the service?

If you feel that you need to use the Service, you should contact your Care Manager and an assessment will be made. Or contact the Manager directly by phone or email.

 The Sitters

Sitters are capable, responsible and understanding people who are trained in the basic techniques of Caring in the home. Our staff will discuss with the Carer and Service User the care they require.

The service is responsible to a Board of Directors which comprises of people who have professional expertise or relevant experience.
